DTN COMMENTS: A Regional has paid $163 in parts of Iowa, most for delayed
delivery (weeks of August 17 and August 24). A few more bids are now on the
table in parts of Nebraska, but so far no takers. Asking prices are around
$101 to $102 in the South, and $165 in the North. A light to moderate trade
was reported in parts of the South yesterday at $99 to $100, roughly $2 to
$3 higher than last week's weighted average. Beef cutouts are expected to be
mixed with light to moderate box movement.
